The A-10 American Deluxe Shotgun The A-10 American™ is an over and under 12ga shotgun with a very low profile. It has a hand detachable full sidelock, it's not a boxlock gun, but the very highest form of the gunmakers art: A sidelock over and under that is hand detachable. This American made gun will be under very limited production, and it has a patent pending design. The receiver and all the main parts are made from a solid block of steel. The action features a v main springs and safety sears. They are known for their smooth and reliable trigger pulls.

Grades- There are two grades. The standard grade which has scroll engraving, and comes with a 5 year limited warranty, and the Deluxe grade, which features a magnificent Pointer and Pheasant engraving on one lock and a Setter with a Pheasanton the other lock, all encircled in an elegant Bulino style scroll engraving. All deluxe grade guns have a solid gold escutcheon, depicting the Connecticut Shotgun eagle, inlayed in the forend. All deluxe guns carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Receiver- The A-10 American™ is a hand detachable full sidelock over and under shotgun (not a boxlock with sideplates). This allows for faster trigger pulls, easier cleaning and maintanence, as well as more safety due to intercepting sears. The receiver is forged from a solid block of 86-20 steel, it is French grayed and plasma hardened.
Trigger- The A-10 American™ features a single selective trigger with an adjustable trigger shoe that allows the trigger and the LOP to be adjusted approximately ½ inch on a precision machined rail. The trigger pull is approximately 4 1/2 lbs.
Barrels- The Barrels on the A-10 American™ are machined from solid billets of 41-40 steel, and come in the owners choice of 26 in., 28 in., 30 in., or 32 in. These barrels feature a TuffBore™ coating which makes them steel shot compatible, and they undergo the Cryo Pattern™ process which is a deep freezing method that relieves stress on the metal and allows for more accurate and consistent shot patterning. These traditional rust type blue barrels also come with a ventilated rib and a weight system that allows an A-10American™ owner to change the balance of their own gun. The weight system includes 2 weights at 2 1/4 oz. and4 weights at 1/2 oz. This gives many different combinations. Each barrel comes with five Trulock choke tubes: Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full. All barrels and choke tubes are steel shot compatible and come with a choke tube wrench.
Optional barrel feature- A 20 or a 28 gauge barrel can be prefitted without any gunsmithing required to go on the 12 ga gun. A set of 28 gauge barrels can be prefitted to the 20 gauge small frame gun. Optional barrel lengths, which are all compatible with the existing forend, include 26,28,30,and 32 in. These barrels feature a TuffBore™ coating which makes them steel shot compatible and they undergo the Cryo Pattern™ process which is a deep freezing method that relieves stress on the metal and allows for more accurate and consistent shot patterning. They also come with an individual weight system that will allow you to add weight and change the balance point of the gun. Each barrel comes with five Trulock choke tubes: Skeet, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified and full. All barrels and chokes tubes are steel shot compatible and come with choke tube wrench.
Stock- The A-10 American™ can be equipped with either a heavier pistol grip stock with a large and thick fluted target forend or a lighter straight grip stock with a small tapered hunting style forend. Click here for stock dimensions. The stock is made from 2x American Black Walnut, though upgrades to 3x for $350, 4x for $600, and Exhibition for $900 are available. Click here to learn why we use American Black Walnut. Every stock is checkered with the Multi Point classic pattern at 24 lines per inch. Stocks also come with a stock weight balancing system so that A-10 American™ owners can change the balance of their gun themselves. This weights system has 2 2.4 oz weights that move on a threaded rod, allowing the shooter to balance the gun or remove the weights and make the gun much lighter. All stocks have a black Galazan recoil pad.
Wood finish- We use oil only. It is applied in a proprietary method to infuse it into the wood. The finish is very deep and not just on the surface like virtually every other gun. This allows you to remove scratches and polish the wood to its original luster. Another advantage to this system is that the wood is coated on every possible surface inside and out on both forend and butt stock, making it impervious to the elements and moisture. This is a satin finish, but we do offer a high gloss oil finish that is only available through the custom shop.
Escutcheon- A-10 American™ Deluxe grade forend is emblazoned with a solid gold Connecticut Shotgun escutcheon representing the prowess that it took to craft such a fine shotgun.
Engraving- The Standard model of the A-10 American features a classic light small tight American scroll. The Deluxe Model displays a magnificent engraving of a Pointer and Pheasants on one lock and a Setter with a pheasant on the other lock, all surrounded by an elegant scroll. This highly detailed engraving is done in the Bulino style, and is excexuted to the highest of standards.
Internal Parts- Internal parts feature our Hard Gold™ coating. They are gold in color to prevent rust and a special harding process is added to prevent wear.
Weight and balance- There are a lot of factors that add up to this, barrel length, stock style etc. Every A-10 American™ comes with a stock weight balancing system in the butt stock that will allow you to change the balance point of the gun or remove it completely and make the gun much lighter. Also, the barrels under the forend have the ability to accept our barrel weight system which allows you to easily change the dynamics of the gun by adding or subtracting the weights. This feature is included in every gun. The lightest configuration is approximately 7 ½ lbs. for the 12 gauge frame and approximately 6 1/2 lbs. for the 20 gauge small action frame.
Automatic Ejectors- All guns feature Selective automatic ejectors.
Chokes- The A-10 American™ comes with a choke wrench and 5Trulock choke tubes: skeet, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, and full. The choke tubes and barrels are both steel shot compatible.
Case- The case that is included with your A-10 American is a very heavy duty aluminum case with 2 lockable draw latches and a center combination lock. All corners are fully welded and the outside edges are mitered with a special angle for strength. The case has a nylon cover that will protect the case from scratches. These cases hold the gun very securely and are very durable. Included in the case is a leather document holder and a special choke tube box and wrench. If your gun is a 2 or 3 barrel it will be shipped with a case that accommodates all sets of barrels. If you order a matched pair, the guns will come in seperate cases.
